There Is No Cure For Cellulite Or Bags Under The Eyes
Dr. Oz was on Oprah the other day, and he said definitively that there is no cure for cellulite or undereye bags. Disappointing indeed.
Dr. Oz explained that cellulite is a result of fat fat cells. Yes, fat cells that are fat. So liposuction doesn't help, because you can't suck out the fat in your cells. Sometimes "treatments" may appear to work because it stimulates your muscles (massages or creams) that might make the area swell a little, which gives it a more toned look. But the cells are just as fat.
The cause of the fattening is due to nutrients collected by the fat cells that are near blood streams. The nutrients have fat in them, which makes the fat cells larger. Additionally, when the fat cells get larger, they require more nutrients, so they begin to divert more of the blood supply to them. It's a never-ending cycle.

He didn't go into preventative measures. Does eating well and less help? Do some people spill out more nutrients than others? Is this a result of too high of an intake of fat? Considering there's no cure, it would help to know if there's anything we can do to prevent it in the first place. Perhaps it's in his new book YOU: Being Beautiful: The Owner's Manual to Inner and Outer Beauty?
The other bad news he gave was for those (me) with undereye bags. I've tried many products, but none have worked, and right after I spent $85 on an eye cream, Dr. Oz explains the only way to get rid of bags under the eyes is plastic surgery. Well, at least it's better than having cellulite.
There is a difference though between short-term and long-term bags. Short-term bags are due mainly to stress and lack of sleep. The area swells and the bags develop. For short-term bags, cucumber slices (or anything cool), and some eye creams will help. But for long-term bags, it's permanent.
Again, the culprit is fat. This time, it's fat that has slid downward and has collected under your eyes. At this point, I'm not sure if my bags are short-term or long-term, but I know it's been there for a while, and they seem to always be there. I can only hope by short-term, he means a few years.
This was a great article. Cellulite has been extremely hard to treat for years. More and more studies are being implemented each year and there are finally some options availalbe. cellulaze cellulite treatments
